Whether this be via individual tuition, composition-based group workshops, or an improvisatory performance session with more than 20+ participants - each person should benefit from an inspiring musical experience, with clearly defined goals and accessible targets.

Our core belief, is that everyone deserves to experience the joy of performance and creative expression. As music practitioners, it is truly a vocation to ensure a sustainable commitment to music education in Wales - by facilitating affordable, professional, inclusive and nurturing educational opportunities for all.



Lydia is a professional clarinettist, music tutor & workshop leader, who has recently graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama with a BMus (Hons) Specialising in Clarinet Performance. She is currently based in Cardiff, and has been teaching music since 2013 - boasting an 100% ABRSM & Trinity exam pass-rate.

Discovering an aptitude for teaching through projects at RWCMD, Lydia soon became passionate about enhancing transferable skills - whilst also bridging the gap between primary and secondary school.

Lydia holds the following safeguarding certifications:

  • Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate (available on the Update Service)
  • CPD Certified Level 4 in Higher Learning Teaching Assistant (with Higher Distinction)
  • International Open Academy Special Educational Needs Course (with Distinction)
  • EduCare NSPCC Child Protection Awareness 
  • EduCare NHS First Aid Essentials Level 2

She is also registered with the Musician's Union Education Workforce Council as a 'School Learning Support Worker'.



Jason is a fully-qualified composer, studio producer, and guitarist - with the following affiliated credentials: MA Composition - Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, BA (Hons) Creative Sound & Music - University of South Wales, Grade 8 Music Theory - Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, and Grade 8 Guitar - Rockschool.

He first uncovered a passion for Composition when writing Music to Film during his undergraduate studies. The opportunity to compose within a narrative structure, revealed exciting new avenues for creative expression. Exploring this method of music-making alongside advanced audio production techniques, led him to discover creative technologies to aid in his artistic design.

Jason has composed for many independent short films, most recently including Retail (2018, dir. Johnathan James) - gaining international acclaim and winning awards worldwide. He has also had his orchestral score 'Seven Brothers' workshopped & recorded by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales (conducted by Jac Van Steen and Frank Zielhorst).

As a professional guitarist, Jason has performed and recorded with several bands and ensembles, including:

  • HEY!25
  • The Collective
  • Greater Gwent Youth Jazz Orchestra

  • 02 Academy (Bristol)
  • St. David's Hall (Cardiff)

During his time of study, Jason also worked as:

  • Casual Recording Technician (for RWCMD students)
  • A-Level Composition and Radio Production Tutor (at Kings Monkton School, Cardiff)
  • Group Guitar Instructor / Orchestra Director (at Bryn Deri Primary School, Radyr).


After returning to Wales in 2014 with a Masters Degree from Baylors University (Texas), Edmund has been teaching music privately - at his home studio in Barry, and Forte School of Music (Danescourt).

Prior to this Edmund studied at the Royal College of Music (London), and during this time he taught at their Junior Music Department. He obtained a BMus (Hons) in Double Bass performance alongside a London College of Music Diploma in Piano Performance.

His teaching style mainly focuses on exam preparation (primarily through the ABRSM syllabi), although he also encourages pupils to learn for fun in order to achieve their own personal goals and aspirations.
